Gut (pronounced Goot)

[edit]

What... like Hoot or like Foot? (Assuming you are an English speaker.)

Probably shouldn't notify pronunciation without using IPA.

Gut rhymes with hoot. To clarify this, I inserted IPA. --84.226.152.147 (talk) 22:58, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Competing in Slaloms - first win in the Overall World Cup since 1994/95

[edit]

It is not to say that she doesn't compete in Slaloms, but she did it only in a few Slaloms (without having great success). Maybe her competing in Slaloms is a "warm up" for the Combined Events. - Her win in the Overall World Cup was the first win for a female racer of Swiss Ski Association ("swiss ski") since Vreni Schneider 1994/95. 213.225.10.48 (talk) 20:31, 28 December 2016 (UTC)V[reply]

Paranomasia: Translation of German Word "Gut" ("gut") is "good"

[edit]

Because the adjective "gut" means "good" ("well"), German media representatives prefer to use it as a "word-play": "Lara is racing good" or "not good". Skiscout (talk) 17:22, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Speeking one's mind

[edit]

Lara is known for speeking one's mind (wearing her heart on her sleeve). Such a manner is the parting of the ways. Skiscout (talk) 17:29, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
